Who is behind MySolarGuy?
MySolarGuy is run by a solar installation business — we don’t pretend otherwise. What we promise instead is honesty: the advisor gives you a straight answer even when it’s “solar isn’t right for you yet,” and every figure comes from our own controlled data.
What does the advice cost?
Advice and your summary are free, with no account and no obligation. The only payment before your installation is the fixed £250 survey fee, if you choose to book one — credited in full against your installation if you go ahead.
How accurate is it?
Your summary is indicative — built from your roof data, your answers and our real installation prices, then corrected by an in-person survey before anything is final. We don’t quote accuracy percentages we haven’t measured.
What do you do with my details?
We start with your postcode and address so we can look up your roof — that comes first. Your name and email are only asked for when you want the summary sent, with a clear consent statement — kept by us, never sold.
The only fee before your installation
One fair, fixed survey fee
If your summary looks right, a surveyor confirms everything in person — so your final quotation is measured, not guessed. When you’re ready, we hand you over to Ecoguys — our installer arm — to book your survey and pay securely there.
